They soften clothes, reduce static, and let you control the scent—without the chemicals. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil during the last 10 minutes of the dry cycle and enjoy naturally fresh laundry.

Most “lavender-scented” dryer products don’t contain lavender at all—just synthetic fragrances pretending to be it. Wool dryer balls + real essential oils = the real deal. 🌿

🧶 Make Your Own Wool Dryer Balls (Easy + Fun)

You’ll need:

• 100% wool yarn (or any 100% animal fiber yarn)

• Pantyhose

• ♻️ Upcycle tip: use pantyhose with runs!

Directions:

1. Wrap yarn around your middle and index fingers 10 times

2. Remove and wrap 2–3 times around the center (it’ll look like a bow)

3. Keep wrapping tightly until it’s tennis-ball sized

4. Cut yarn and tuck ends in

5. Repeat until you have 4–6 balls

6. Place balls in pantyhose, tying a knot between each

7. Wash on the hottest setting (this felts the wool)

8. Dry on high heat

9. Remove from pantyhose—ready to use!

💧 Add 2–3 drops of essential oil per ball every few loads.

🌟 Fun Laundry Extras:

• Crumple aluminum foil into a ball and toss it in the dryer to reduce static

• Add a washcloth with a few oil drops to the dryer for extra scent

• Add a few drops of Lemon to the wash cycle to help break down grease
