Lemon is sourced in Italy and Brazil from the lemons that do not meet the standards for the fresh market. 

Green Mandarin is sourced in Brazil from all the mandarins that are discarded in the fresh fruit market. No fruit is wasted. 

Douglas Fir is considered an invasive species in New Zealand. doTERRA has partner with them to combat the efforts to slow the spread. A tree that would otherwise be wasted is now used to create doTERRA Douglas Fir Essential Oil.
